About Us:
Figure skating is a beautiful, graceful, and powerful sport. The Figure Skating Team at Colorado College is where some of the most talented skaters in the nation call home. Our team is privileged to have ten members of a variety of talent levels. We have multiple United Skates Figure Skating Gold Medalists, including one four-time USFS Gold Medalist, all the way to beginners learning to skate for the first time. Everyone is welcome to join our team no matter the skating ability, and no one is ever cut from our team. Our mission is to compete at Collegiate Nationals and we are always looking to help each other grow as skaters.
Our Project:
Our ultimate goal is to compete at Nationals. In order to reach Nationals, it is mandatory that the team competes in all three competitions. One of the competitions is held in California every year, which makes it expensive and difficult to participate in. On top of all the sport’s expenses, a plane ticket to California is hard for many skaters to afford.
Why You Should Contribute:
If the skaters can cut down on some of the other costs of the sport – equipment, travel, practice time, lessons --we can focus on our training and doing our absolute best at competitions. Your contribution would make the early morning practices, the tough workouts, and the long hours pay off. We strive to support each other as beginners and veterans alike continuously improve with each and every practice. Every competition showcases our spectacular skating ability and makes the team bond stronger. Colorado College has always been the home of some incredible athletes and we hope that our team can contribute to the school’s championship legacy.
Any contribution would help and we would be incredible grateful for. Please share this message with your friends! We hope to one-day represent CC at Nationals. Go Tigers!
