We hope you are well and healthy and want you to know that we are thinking about you during this time. As you may have heard, our 5-year reunion will be Oct. 8-10, 2021. Even so, it is important as ever to rally our class to give back in honor of this milestone reunion.
The value of shared Colorado College experiences like these are perhaps more meaningful today than ever as we each deal with the Coronavirus crisis, and the relationships today’s CC students have with their friends, studies, teachers, the arts, and the environment, are deeper than ever. This spirit of the school persists today and provides the resources and spaces to foster ever more meaningful moments of discovery and connection.
We remained committed to reaching our fundraising goals to ensure students are able to thrive in the face of adversity. For our 5th reunion we are aiming for 15-20% of our class to give towards the CC Mutual Aid Fund. We’re counting all gifts, regardless of amount or designation, made July 1, 2020–June 30, 2021. A gift to the College in honor of your 5th reunion — no matter the amount — is a meaningful measure of the value of our experience at CC and a way to ensure the future of CC is sound.
Please help us reach our goal! Whether you donate $20.16, $201.60 or $2,016, every bit makes a difference in shaping the next generation of change makers!
You can choose to commit to a five-year pledge; the full value will be counted toward this year’s class reunion total. We hope you will consider doing this. You can give online or give with Venmo @CCAnnualGiving (be sure to include “Class of 2016 reunion gift” in the payment notes). One of us will be in touch soon to discuss our class gift, giving you updates and answer any questions.
Plans are underway for a combined on-campus Homecoming gathering Oct. 8-10, 2021, for all 2020 and 2021 reunion classes. We hope you will save the date and join us and see for yourself. Call someone – even if it has been years – to ask them to come with you. Let’s do this!
Your 5th Reunion Committee
P.S. The health and safety of CC alumni, student, faculty, and staff community continues to be the college’s top priority as they navigate these still uncertain times. For the latest updates on how Colorado College is responding to the Coronavirus pandemic visit www.coloradocollege.edu/coronavirus.
Colorado College is doing amazing things with your investment. Here is just a sampling…
Colorado College Mutual Aid Fund is student-led and college-supported grassroots redistribution model, providing financial assistance for CC students in need. Mutual Aid is based in solidarity, not charity. It is a non-conditional investment in the community by other members of that community.
