Solar Energy Project

The Colorado College Office of Sustainability is working on expanding rooftop solar arrays across campus. This project directly supports Colorado College’s commitment to carbon neutrality by 2020. Upon meeting this commitment we will not be adding any new carbon emissions to the atmosphere. Our goal is to decrease our reliance on intensive energy sources and move Colorado College toward a more sustainable future.

The college has included solar arrays on a variety of building projects across campus. The newly renovated Tutt Library has a 115 kilowatt array on its roof. This solar array is offsetting the electrical use of the building, helping it achieve its net zero carbon status. By contributing to this project, you can help to fill other roof spaces with solar panels and be a part of Colorado College’s commitment to sustainability.
